Professor Aaron Moritz began his martial arts journey in 2010, training in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai. While he enjoyed all aspects of mixed martial arts, his passion ultimately led him to dedicate his life to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Over the years, Aaron has traveled extensively to learn from some of the most respected practitioners in the world. He’s trained with legendary figures such as Jean-Jacques Machado, Dean Lister, and André Galvão, as well as modern innovators like Craig Jones, Gordon Ryan, and Keenan Cornelius. Recognized as one of the leading leg lock instructors in the Midwest, Professor Aaron has competed in local, regional, and international tournaments, as well as numerous superfights. When he's not training or teaching, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife, Molly, two dogs, Buck and Olive, and his three cats, Morty, Mittens, and Jerry.

Tyler Olson

Tyler Olson

Instructor

Tyler Olson is a dedicated martial artist with a deep-rooted passion for grappling. A brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tyler has been training since 2017 and brings over 20 years of wrestling experience to the mat. Originally from Central Minnesota, he blends technical skill with a grounded, no-nonsense approach to teaching. Off the mat, Tyler is a husband to Jill and a father to Oliver. He enjoys the outdoors and values time spent with his family. Tyler is passionate about the evolution of modern jiu jitsu where creativity and innovation meet discipline and fundamentals. He believes the art is always changing, but the foundations are what allow students to adapt, grow, and thrive at every level.

Jory Baumbach

Jory Baumbach

Instructor

Jory is a purple belt who brings high energy to every class. Blending technical skill with a passion for teaching, he especially enjoys classes that focus on exploring new submissions and dialing in the details. Students can expect to sharpen their technique, break a sweat, and leave every class better than they came. When not on the mats, Jory enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their lively household of four dogs, Watson, Casper, Viggo, and Mr. Crowley, along with their cat, Dexter, and his bird, Angel. When he’s not training or with his pets, Jory enjoys woodworking, crafting projects that let him unwind and get creative. With a constant drive to improve, he’s passionate about mastering new techniques on and off the mats.

Jaryn Homiston

Jaryn Homiston

Jaryn Homiston has been a life long fan of martial arts. He is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a love of finding new and creative ways to advance his craft. His coaching style is a fun but knowledgeable approach to learning. Outside of the gym Jaryn likes spending time with his wife Andrea and his daughter Marah. His other hobbies include reading, the outdoors, and trying new skills. Learning is something he finds extremely important and that’s why jiu jitsu is such a big part of his life.

Jay Huseby

Jay Huseby

Jay Huseby has been dedicated to martial arts since childhood and currently holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With many years of experience, his training spans multiple disciplines including Karate, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These varied practices have deeply influenced both his teaching philosophy and personal outlook. Jay emphasizes adaptability, mindfulness, and disciplined practice in his coaching approach. Professionally, Jay serves as a paramedic, where he exhibits a strong commitment to helping others. His role demands quick thinking and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Skills that his martial arts training has continually reinforced. Outside of work and training, Jay enjoys watching horror movies and martial arts films.
